GUARDIAN 'Door Sentry'

Door Voice Alarm for Cold Rooms and Freezer Rooms

Coldroom Door Alarm

“Shut That Door . . . Well, We All Need Reminding!”

It doesn´t take a genius to work it out…but like most house keeping functions they blend into how the business operates and become invisible. It´s not until you take a long hard look at reducing your utility costs and CO² emissions that these “habits” are put under the spot light.

Guardian Door Sentry

Door Sentry

  • Robust door sensors that operators cannot defeat.
  • Voice messages that keep doors closed and operators safe
  • Easy to install instructions and fittings supplied.
  • Save up to 17% energy costs by monitoring freezer and cold room doors.

We work a lot with Supermarkets and they are at the forefront of continuous improvement. The drive through efficiency savings, stock control through just-in-time deliveries as well as leading the way in the UK today by working hard to reduce their carbon foot print…but they are now running out of quick wins.

Any further improvements are incremental and are only found by looking at every aspect of the business and cutting waste where ever it is found. It has come down to quite literally…shutting doors.

With this in mind, the Guardian Door Sentry has been specifically designed for freezer and cold room use to meet the challenge of operators leaving freezer and cold room doors open for longer than necessary…read on to see how easy it is to protect your staff and save up to 17% on your refrigeration energy bills.

  • Easy to retro-fit in an hour; simple to install and all installation materials are provided so you don´t have to worry about extra fittings costs.
  • Voice message to remind staff to close the cold room or freezer door. This can be recorded with your voice or others and in any language to suit your workforce.
  • Relay contacts (230 VAC 1A n/c) provide remote monitoring of door open and door alarm status via your existing cold store control systems, which are familiar to your staff.
  • Robust 2-part door sensors uses inductive and infra-red signals to give exceptional reliability that cannot be defeated and are not subject to operator abuse…it works, so they shut the door!
  • Door status and Alarm LED indicators mounted on tamper-proof front panel so your settings cannot be altered.

And there´s more…

If you want more than a door alarm; you can incorporate the following options to give you excellent operational visibility, feedback and additional safety features to cater for emergency staff alarm if an operator is accidentally locked inside the cold room.

  • The Guardian Door Sentry can also be configured to detect any refrigerant gas leaks and to control evaporator fans inside the cold room; so that they are switched off while the door is open, reducing cold air escape to the warehouse and to make life more comfortable for staff inside the cold room…automatically returning to normal settings when the door is closed again.
  • RS 485 Modbus communications at 19200 baud rate allows remote monitoring of real time door status, alarm status, accumulated run hours, door open hours and door alarm hours. All the stats you need to know to see how your cold room is operating AND being operated.
  • Contact inputs for HELP button and GAS DETECTED ALARM to generate Emergency Messages and Alarms.
  • Ethernet TCP/IP to RS 485 or SNMP communications using IPM-03
