Supermarkets

For more than fifteen years, Guardian products have been installed in supermarket groups internationally to provide reliable refrigeration supervisory alarm monitoring and energy efficient control of display cases, coldstores and compressor pack controls.

Supermarkets groups include clients such as Tesco and J.Sainsbury in the UK, Coles, Woolworth and Safeway in Australia, Woolworth in South Africa and New World in New Zealand.

Display Case Control

We supply refrigerated food display case and coldstore controllers normally to clients who manufacture cases and install systems.

Energy efficient case control functions include

• Liquid solenoid, electronic expansion and back pressure valve regulation on temperature or pressure.
• Off-cycle, Electric, Water and Hot Gas defrost control and timing.
• Lighting, fan and trim heater control.
• Alarm monitoring of product temperatures, fan and heater status.

Pack Control

We supply a wide range of controllers that provide flexible facilities for supermarket compressor and condenser pack control. Compressor configurations include:

• Individual or multiple control of scroll, reciprocating or semi-hermetic screw compressors.
• Variable speed compressors or condensers.
• Alarm monitoring of compressor pressures, temperatures, current, trips and status
• All pack controllers provide RS485 communications and the latest products also support Modbus and SNMP over TCP/IP networks.

Other Services

Suitable controllers and alarm monitors are available for measurement and control of supermarket HVAC, Power monitoring and Refrigeration Gas detection. All facilities may be monitored centrally using 'Consultant' PC Software.

Industrial Compressors and Coldstores

Guardian products and systems have been specified for Industrial Refrigeration applications throughout the world for control of numerous screw and reciprocating compressors from different manufactures. This number has increased significantly since we have formed a joint venture company with Dalian Refrigeration Co. in China.

Screw and reciprocating compressors controlled include various models from Howden, Micom, Dalian, Stal, APV, Grasso, Bitzer and Sabroe.

In addition to machine control of the compressor, we have installed many complete control and supervisory monitoring systems for coldstores, abattoirs, spiral freezers, breweries and food production plants.

Compressor Control

Compressor control functions include facilities for:

• Individual or multiple unit control of screw, reciprocating or semi-hermetic screw compressors.
• Variable speed control of compressors or condensers.
• 2-stage screws and piston machines.
• Automatic variable Vi volume ratio control.
• Remote panel operation and motor bearing and temperature monitoring
• alarm monitoring of compressor pressures, temperatures, slide position, current, trips and status,
• All controllers provide RS485 communications and the latest products also support Modbus and SNMP over TCP/IP networks.

Plantroom Control

Products are available for control and monitoring of vessels, intercoolers, condensers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, glycol and liquid pumps, cooling water and oil pumps, under-floor heating and power consumption.

Room Control

Standard products are available for control and monitoring of coldroom evaporators, room humidifiers, blast freezers, plate freezers, tunnel freezers and HVAC in production areas.
